Die Riesenechse will in der Grossstadt wieder einmal f\u00fcr Chaos und Vernichtung sorgen und sagt ihrem Gegner \u2013 einem geh\u00f6rnten Biest \u2013 den Kampf an. Doch der Nachwuchs von Godzilla sitzt in einer Ecke und bl\u00e4st Tr\u00fcbsal.<\/p>\n<p>Auch zuhause scheint es dem Kind nicht besser zu gehen. Es zieht sich in sein Zimmer zur\u00fcck und schaut \u00abSailor Moon\u00bb im Fernsehen. Godzilla macht sich Sorgen um den Spr\u00f6ssling. \u00dcber eine Tasse Tee \u00f6ffnet das Kind schliesslich sein Herz: Es identifiziert sich nicht als m\u00e4nnlich, sondern als weiblich. Es ist trans. Godzilla ist kein Tier der grossen Worte \u2013 als Reaktion auf das Coming-out gibt es eine innige Umarmung.<\/p>\n<p>Kurz darauf ist zu sehen, wie Godzilla sich im Internet schlau macht und eine Trans-Fahne strickt. Die Tochter strahlt. Nun kann der Kampf weitergehen. Es versucht sich im Lockdown fit zu halten, macht Videocalls mit anderen Riesenechsen oder giesst die Pflanzen.<\/p>\n<p>Wie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinknews.co.uk\/2020\/07\/02\/godzilla-trans-daughter-kid-short-film-stop-motion-cressa-maeve-beer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Pink News<\/em><\/a> schreibt, handelte es sich bei Godzilla urspr\u00fcnglich um eine Riesenechse ohne bin\u00e4res Geschlecht. 1954 wird das Monster im japanischen Originalfilm lediglich mit einem neutralen Pronomen bezeichnet. Zwei Jahre sp\u00e4ter machte die US-amerikanische Version ein \u00aber\u00bb daraus und verlieh Godzilla den \u00dcbernamen \u00abDer K\u00f6nig der Monster\u00bb.
