Geplant seien Dreharbeiten im Fr\u00fchjahr in New York und Madrid, berichtet das Branchenblatt <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/film\/global\/julianne-moore-pedro-almodovar-the-room-next-door-1235887547\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Variety<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Es wird betont, dass bislang keine weiteren Details zum Inhalt des Films bekannt sind. Auch was f\u00fcr Charaktere die beiden LGBTIQ-Ikonen <a href=\"https:\/\/mannschaft.com\/die-gay-ikone-julianne-moore-wird-60\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Moore<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/mannschaft.com\/tilda-swinton-outet-sich-als-queer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swinton<\/a> im Film spielen werden, ist noch unbekannt.<\/p>\n<p>Almod\u00f3var seinerseits erkl\u00e4rte, dass seine Kurzfilme \u00abThe Human Voice\u00bb und \u00abStrange Way of Life\u00bb (\u00fcber zwei schwule Cowboys, <a href=\"https:\/\/mannschaft.com\/pedro-almodovar-stellt-queeren-westen-in-cannes-vor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MANNSCHAFT berichtete<\/a>) ebenfalls auf Englisch gedreht wurden, aber nur \u00abAufw\u00e4rm\u00fcbungen\u00bb waren, um zu lernen, wie man mit englischsprachigen Schauspieler*innen arbeitet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Filmprojekt mit Cate Blanchett geplatzt<\/strong><br \/>\nZuvor war der spanische Starregisseur, laut <em>Variety<\/em>, am englischsprachigen Filmprojekt \u00abA Manual for Cleaning Women\u00bb beteiligt, das <a href=\"https:\/\/mannschaft.com\/machtmissbrauch-und-mahler-cate-blanchett-brilliert-im-drama-tar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cate Blanchett<\/a> produzieren wollte und in dem sie selbst die Hauptrolle \u00fcbernehmen wollte.<\/p>\n<p>Allerdings verabschiedete sich Almod\u00f3var 2022 aus diesem Filmvorhaben.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abThe Room Next Door\u00bb wird der erste Langfilm von Almod\u00f3var sein seit <a href=\"https:\/\/mannschaft.com\/penelope-cruz-strahlt-glanzvoller-auftakt-beim-filmfest-venedig\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00abParallele M\u00fctter\u00bb<\/a> von 2021.
